Downtown New Braunfels Shops open their doors to the community showing what they have to offer and sharing their hospitality.
We were grateful for the opportunity to taste appetizers and desserts at one of my favorite new shops in Downtown New Braunfels "La Belle Vie" located at 139 N. Castell Street across from Mc Ados Seaford Restaurant. Shaina Corzine, the owner of La Belle Vie, has traveled to Europe, France, Belgium and Holland bringing many antique treasures and new gifts items for her shop.
Now for delicious savories and desserts bites we served
• Beef Tenderloin served on Herb Buttered Crostini topped with Port Red Onion Reduction and Brie
• Poached Salmon served on Toasted Crostini topped with Old World Basil Sauce
• Pumpkin & Pecan Mini Cheesecake with Chocolate Crust
• French Vanilla Mini Cheesecake with Kiwi, Blueberries, Apricot Preserves with Vanilla Crust
• Chocolate Raspberry Mini Cheesecake topped with Fresh Raspberry
• French Wedding Cake: Croquembouche means "Crunch in the mouth"
is a mound of pastry cream-filled puffs tuck together with shiny caramel.
Wine tasting was by Vineyard at Gruene opening soon in Gruene
Thanks to Shaina and our many wine strollers for a Great Evening. What Fun!
Growing up in the county in Wisconsin with a Father who always had a huge garden full of fresh vegetable, melons and berries and a Mother whose homemade breads, pies and cookies were always warm from the oven.
